More time should be committed to wider society developing greater empathy towards people with autism
It is not the responsibility of autistic people to change their behaviour to suit society but the need for society to change to celebrate diversity
Until we have an inclusive education system change in wider society will be limited
Autistic people represent all sectors of society and may face additional challenges because of race, gender, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or economic status. Diversity should be celebrated.
Work places and employers should be supported and encouraged to employ a neurodiverse workforce
Autism diagnosis can offer understanding, identity and community but all people are individuals and should be respectedÂ
